Yesterday & Today

Today is Matthew's 18th birthday.

AND

This year he will be graduating soon with Honors....from my little Home School.

It seems like yesterday he was standing here so excited having his picture taken.

Now I see him standing tall with his own ideas.

His own interests.

His won dreams of owning a muscadine farm and winery.

Matthew....my Son......it IS my pleasure and honor sharing my live and love with you.

  1. He really is such a joy, but don't tell him I said that. He is smart, funny, helpful, and I think we should keep him locked up for about five more years. He is also hungry all the time. By the way, I love the music.

  2. Oh...I'm laughing over Mom's comments...keep him locked up for about five more years? LOL...Love it! And hungry all the time? Sounds familiar!! He MUST be wonderful...his name is Matthew...and you KNOW that name means, "Gift of God..." He sounds like a very special gift to me! Happy Birthday, Matthew! A beautiful and heartwarming post...Love you so much, Lisa! ~Janine XO

  4. Isn't it wonderful when we get to look into the scruffy (5 o'clock shadow) face of our baby boy and marvel at how quickly he grown from that chubby little baby into that handsome strong man?

My "boy" will turn 22 this summer and I've been staring at him with wonder and amazement for several years now. Do all moms do this?

Gosh, I love my son. Looks like you love yours a whole bunch too!

    :)
